Oberamergau Passion Play and Alpine Explorer. June 18-28, 2010
The Passion Play happens every ten years and we've already reserved a spot. We'll fly to Zurich, Switzerland, then tour Lucerne, Bern, and Lake Geneva. We'll board a train to visit and stay in Zermatt to see the Matterhorn up close! Then we take the Glacier Express train to St. Moritz, playground of the rich and famous (people like us). In Austria we'll visit Innsbruck and Salzburg dining in the same restaurant as Mozart and enjoying a concert of his music. Finally we travel to Munich and Oberamergau, Germany for the Passion Play which has been performed by community residents since 1634. Price and specific date not available at this time.

Norwegian Coastal Voyage September, 2011
View some of the most spectacular scenery in the world from the deck of our Hurtigruten cruise ship. Chartered by the Norwegian government 115 years ago to deliver mail and cargo, the state of the art cruise ship will stop in 34 unique and picturesque ports during its passage from Bergen to Kirkenes (near the Russian border) and back. By going in September we will avoid the crowds and experience a tranquil voyage. Since the LBCC Vikings are descendants of the Norwegians, we will explore Viking history and traditions. Cost starting at $3300 per person based on double occupancy includes roundtrip airfare from LAX to Bergen, Norway, 12-day cruise, onboard meals, port tax, some excursions and guide tips. Optional extension to Oslo and other Scandinavian cities is available.
